What is a quick and easy to clean a leather recliner chair without damaging it?
You must use a good quality Water Based foam leather cleaner. DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils) and furniture polish contains BABY silicones WIPES are the worst thing you can use as you destroy the finish on leather. Are very strong detergents alkiline to neutralize urine (acid) on babys skin so that are not the right thing to use on the skin. Saddle soap is too harsh for use on mobile today. A lot of leather wipes contain chemicals that destroy even finish or leave residues on the skin that cause damage. Are not cheap in the long term as you would need a lot to clean a whole leather sofa. A bottle of foam cleaner should make furniture 1-2 times. You should also follow this with a good water protection leather base, which will act as a 'Scotchgard' and inhibit dirt and stains be absorbed and make cleaning easier the next time. Dry leather needs rehydrating with water and oils and waxes should not be used as the natural oils do not dry the leather. Wiping with a damp cloth regularly will help to do this. It 'important to maintain a regular cleaning regime cleaning dirt from the surface regularly and inhibiting the absorption oils for the body skin with a protective device is the best way to do it. The alternative is a new product on the market called Lazy Leather. This is the most latest technology for cleaning and combines an effective cleaner with a protector.
